Practice Makes Perfection

When I did my Facebook live yesterday my daughter told me this:

Ohh, mom, you had so many grammatical errors in your video?

I said yes I know it is my first time and English is my second language as well.

Going live is intimidating and that is why not many people do it!

But if I want to grow my brand and let people know who I am I have to expose myself more and one of the ways to do this is by going live on Facebook even though my English is not perfect.

I know the first few times won’t be as good as I would like it to be but it would get better as I practice more.

So have you heard this before?

PRACTICE MAKES PERFECTION!

If you don’t practice and if you don’t take risks you would never know what you can do in life.

There have been so many things I never knew how to do before and now I can do them with my eyes closed...

But how did I achieve this?

Well, I was fortunate to continue my education when I came to this country.

I put myself into cosmetology school and then went to university.

I don’t practice my degree because I decided to continue within the beauty industry which I love.  But I have to say that at the beginning there were many different techniques I did not know...

So you may be wondering how did I do it?

Well, I keep going to beauty classes to keep learning new tips and techniques such as balayage and highlights which may seem easy but they are not!

And then I bring these new techniques to my salon and applied them to my beautiful clients.

So when you take your time to research the topic you learn new tips which then you can practice and later you can apply them to your profession with a lower risk for making mistakes.

So this is the only way to be better at something by practicing and applying it so you can master later. So get out of your comfort zone today and start doing something you have never done before and let me know how it went.. how did you feel?  Did it feel strange? Did you feel weird talking to a camera?

Always remember changes can be painful but they can help you grow in your profession as well as in your personal life... if you don’t do it someone else is...

Remember to follow me on Instagram and here on Facebook and to share this video with someone who might need a little bit of motivation.

Have a Happy Monday!
