Oils That May Give You Healthier Hair – Plant Based Oils

On TikTok, the hashtag #hairoil has racked up many billion views, with individual videos getting millions of views on pop. Many influencers show healthy, long, gorgeous hair that they get from homemade oils which are responsible for shine and growth as well.

Hair loss is a common concern, usually, hair loss increases because of physical stress. Many people are concerned about shedding and thinning and are looking for treatment options.

Many hairstylist agrees that hair growth is a hot topic, as many people lost hair during Covid-19.

What does, however, help to restore someone's thick, luscious locks—and what is merely social media chitchat—is less obvious. Here are seven oils to consider in your beauty regimen, typically rated from most to least in terms of how much scientific evidence supports their usage for healthy hair.

1)      Argan Oil

A tree native to Morocco, an argan oil derived from the fruit of Argania spinosa.

Argan oil can be used on skin and hair both, and it can be used to heal wounds as well. Frizziness and breakage can be reduced by using this oil from mids to ends. If you use this on the scalp it can help in the healing of dandruff and increases hair growth.

It is a popular hair product, The idea that argan oil is healthy for your hair is partially true. It includes linoleic and oleic acids, two fatty acids that have a variety of advantages, including improving the skin barrier, moisturizing the scalp, and reducing inflammation. It makes your hair shinier and smoother, squalene is present in argan oil which protects the hair and also makes it hydrate.

Straightener, curling hair and dryer damaging effects can be reduced by using argan oil, and protein loss can be prevented by using argan oil which can be done by heat treatments, Argan oil seems to enhance hair strength, reducing hair thinning and shedding, just like protein strengthens muscles.

Argon oil absorbs more easily into scalp and hair follicles because of it’s smaller molecule.

The ingredients in argan oil such as oleic acid and linoleic acid help improve the penetration of other ingredients into the hair and can reduce inflammation. Linoleic acid has a skin barrier-strengthening effect so dry hair becomes moisturized.

Argan oil also has antioxidants like polyphenols and vitamin E to help prevent free radical damage. Oxidative stress causes free radical damage in the organism. 2)      Avocado Oil

It is used in many hair and beauty products and also used in cooking, it is extracted from the pulp of fruit. This oil improves hair growth.

Because it contains a lot of monounsaturated fatty acids, which may enter the hair follicle, avocado oil is supposed to be moisturizing. It supports overall hair health, and it also nourishes and strengthens the hair. It can protect the hair from UV light and environmental exposure as it is rich in antioxidants. Although there isn't much study on avocado oil specifically, a 2015 review discovered that the minerals, especially those monounsaturated fatty acids, in avocado oil are useful for sealing hair cuticle cells and reducing breaking.

Propecia is similar to pumpkin seed oil.
