How to Stop Your Hair From Falling Out

On average we are supposed to lose between 80-100 strands of hair a day but it can become a concern when we see more than this in our brush or drain when we take a shower.

There could be many factors contributing to a significant amount of hair loss and sometimes it could be really hard to know which one it is, so you just have to do your research or go to the doctor to find out why is your hair thinning out.

1 - Hormones can be our enemy, especially for women after 5 months of having a baby. This is when hair starts falling out the most because hormones are trying to go back to its previous state before you were pregnant. So be patient and concentrate on all the beautiful things that are happening in your life at this moment. It will pass and once it is over your hair will be beautiful again.

2 - Nutrition can affect our bodies internally and externally. The latter is noticeable on our hair when starts getting thin. This happens because our bodies could be low in certain amounts of nutrients and vitamins such as Vitamin D and B12. If you notice this make sure you start adding more protein and vitamins to your diet so your hair can continue its path for healthy growth.

3 - Stress. It is a HUGE contributor to hair loss as well as it can aggravate other health problems you may have. How can you keep your stress levels under control? Well, you have to give yourself a couple of minutes to unwind your mind. This could be done through 5 minutes of meditation in the early morning, so you can reflect on yourself, life, and on your day ahead of you. Take 20 minutes a day to go for a walk or jog and focus on your body movements and breathing pattern. You will be surprised how much better you will feel if you add these to your daily routine.

4 - Genes and age trigger hair loss. I usually tell clients we can not do anything about them because as we become older our hair changes because our body reproduces slowly and our physiology is not the same anymore. On the other hand, if you have family members with thin or little hair maybe you are predisposed to those genes.

SO just be patient with your hair changes and look around YOU to see all the wonderful blessing you have in your life.
